Students will discover the basics of graphing a linear inequality. First they move a point which is part of the solution set to the inequality. They will observe how the inequality changes based on the location of the point.

Students will see how the shading changes with the inequality sign as the point is moved across the boundary line.

Next, students will move a point around and see whether it is in the solution set of the inequality. The word "true" will appear if the point is in the solution set, and the word "false" will appear if the point is not in the solution set. By changing the inequality symbol and moving the point, students will formulate the basic concepts of graphing inequalities.
