Topic: Graphs of Inequalities
This activity applies the use of linear inequalities in two variables to solve problems. The graphs provide a visual way of thinking about the solution set to the inequality.

Students will apply what they have learned about linear inequalities in two variables to a real-world problem. They will first write the inequality given the scenario and solve the inequality algebraically.
Then students will move a point around the graphed inequality and see whether it is in the solution set of the inequality. The word true will appear if the point is in the solution set, and the word false will appear if the point is not in the solution set. Students will confirm the answer they found previously.
In the extension questions, the scenario is modified and students must determine how the inequality changes. They can confirm their answers using an interactive Graphs & Geometry screen.
