Students will begin by changing the sliders for the parameters of equation of a parabola in vertex form on an interactive Graphs & Geometry page and observing the effects each has on the graph of the parabola. They will determine how the changes affect a real-world problem.
Then students will apply what they have learned to find an equation of a parabola with given characteristics.
