In the first part of the activity, students determine the amplitude and period of the sine, cosine, and tangent functions given the graph.


In the second part of the activity, students are given the graph of the sine or cosine function (dashed curve) and have to determine how the graph has shifted or changed (solid curve). Then they will write the equation of the graph of the solid curve.
