Students will observe how changing the values in a rose curve affect the shape of the graph. Students will be able to predict the number of petals and their length by examining the polar equation.

After exploring the various shapes of a rose curve, students will then be able to visualize the relationship between the equation of a rose curve and the equation of a sinusoidal function as both are graphed together on one screen. When finished with this assignment, students will be able to write equations of rose curves given information about the petals of the curve.
