In this activity, students will explore the link between Pascal’s Triangle, the Binomial Theorem, and Binomial Probability Experiments.

Activity Key Steps:
In this activity, students will perform the binomial expansion to identify the link between the binomial expansion, and the formula nCxpxq(n–x).
Students will then find the probability of a student getting 4 correct answers on a quiz with 5 questions by substituting the values into the formula and using the binomial Pdf command.
They will return to the original problem involving the Red Sox games. Students will use what they’ve learned to find the probabilities that the Red Sox will win 4 out of 4 games and win 4 out of 7 games.
